Extreme China: Going After Its Own New World Media Order to Combat Hostile Western Forces

According to a new report, "China's Pursuit of a New World Media Order," released by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), China is actively pursuing a new world media order.  The report indicates the Chinese government is investing as much as $1.3 billion annually to increase the global presence of Chinese media.

One section of the report covers 1 - Exporting the "Chinese media model," combatting "hostile" Western Forces.
The report, China’s Pursuit of a New World Media Order says Beijing is using a variety of strategies including ramping up international broadcasting, undertaking extensive advertising campaigns, and infiltrating foreign media outlets to spread its world view.

Small Town Businesses Get a Global Presence

According to the report (PDF) "Platform-Enabled Small Business Formation as a Counterweight Against Forces of Economic Concentration" from the eBay Policy Lab, online marketplaces give small businesses and entrepreneurs access to outside economies in these rural areas. This is driving growth in counties across the country which are not experiencing the same amount of expansion as in the coastal or more popular regions. -- Source:  Small Business Trends

Businesses interested in expanding into international markets look for benefits such as growth – including increased revenue and profitability, enhanced exposure and brand recognition, global partnerships and a more diversified product and/or service offering.  Yet, at the same time, they also face challenges in making that expansion occur successfully.

Whether you are a gigantic or small company, developing a global presence takes time and happens gradually.

Global Presence: 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Launch from South Korea

Designed with global sales in mind, the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will make South Korea one of it's assembly homes and distribution points, further increasing the brand's global presence.
What do Fairfax, Kansas and Hamtramck, Michigan, and Jingjao, China have in common with Bupyeong, South Korea? All four sites will be responsible for building the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, although the Korean facility will be the first to assemble the all-new sedan.
