Women First, Prosperity For All

The eighth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit began in Hyderabad, India, focusing on the theme of “Women First, Prosperity For All.”

For the first time in the history of this summit that brings together entrepreneurs and high-level politicians from around the world, women make up a majority of the 1500 entrepreneurs selected to attend.

In order to make China's female entrepreneurs count, we must go beyond just counting them.

Ivanka Trump to Lead US Delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India 2017

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), an initiative started by former US President Barack Obama, will have its eighth edition in India in 2017.  Donald Trump’s daughter and advisor Ivanka Trump is set to lead the US delegation to the event.
According to the official website of GES, the summit would “showcase inspiring entrepreneurs and investors from around the world creating new opportunities for investment, partnership, and collaboration; connect American entrepreneurs and investors with international counterparts to form lasting relationships; highlight entrepreneurship as means to address some of the most intractable global challenges.”
The summit's agenda includes workshops, panel discussion, talks, pitch competitions, mentoring and networking sessions to fuel the growth of companies participating in the summit.

Building Bridges to Tackle Global Challenges Together

The 7th Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2016, taking place June 23-24, 2016 in Silicon Valley, California, aims to showcase inspiring African entrepreneurs and investors from around the world, creating new opportunities for investment, partnership, and collaboration.
The summit was previously hosted by the US, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia and Morocco, and now returns to the US in a move the organisers say highlights Obama’s commitment to building bridges to tackle global challenges together.

The Importance of Entrepreneurship For Global Development

President Obama announced this week (March 31st) that he will visit Kenya for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in July.  It will be his first trip to the country and his fourth to sub-Saharan Africa during his presidency.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit brings together business owners, educators, policymakers and investors to support the growth of new enterprises in developing regions.  President Obama has supported the annual meetings since 2009.

Entrepreneurship can transform the world by solving problems, creating jobs and boosting economies.
