Oh what a charming visit to Evanston, Illinois, that is, if you take the train, get off at the Main Street stop via the Metra system and visit:

1. La Principal restaurant -- Mexican street food.
2. Wine Goddess -- shabby chic by design shop with great wines (love their Cheap N' Good Wine List). 
3. Trattoria D.O.C. restaurant -- Italian food.
