wegg®: The Secret Sauce to Getting More Women to Export

©Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global™.  Used with permission.
What am I [Laurel Delaney] most passionate about?  Helping entrepreneurs and business owners expand their businesses internationally.   In particular, I want to see more women business owners move into this territory -- outside their comfort zone and into the world of business.
Based on experience, I knew that women who run businesses are less likely to trade internationally than those owned by men. I wanted to change the landscape for women from being risk-averse to having confidence to go for it—with the appropriate support. And that’s how wegg® [Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global™] was born, which I’ll tell you more about in a bit.

Going Global is One of the Best Engines for Driving Business Growth

Cost, payment risks and logistical challenges have discouraged online businesses from selling to or working with customers from anywhere but their home turf.  Not anymore.  We have entered -- a long time ago thanks to the Internet -- a world of business without borders.

According to SBA, "Nearly 96 percent of consumers live outside the U.S., and two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power is in foreign countries."

No matter where a business is physically located, expanding sales and operations to international markets is often one of the best engines for driving growth. Website translation and localization, global payment processing and outsourcing are three of the best methods to help a digital business grow beyond its own borders and to embrace the global marketplace.

Building Empathy Across Borders

When AskMen.com founder Ricardo Poupada was asked, "What do you think is the next big trend in technology and how will it impact the way we work?"  Here's what he said.
I’m a bit biased given my work, but I believe that VR has the potential to fundamentally change how we work in the business-to-business arena because it can help build empathy across borders and time zones, which is increasingly how the world of business is moving.

And be sure to catch Laurel Delaney's Global Trade Trends Report 2018 on January 10 (no charge WEGGinar™ but you must register to attend), which talks about the importance of understanding and using VR to grow your business global.

Make the Online Customer Experience Easier and Stress-Free

Customer experience consultant Ian Golding challenges us with this notion:  What would the world of business really be like if all companies were run by Jeff Bezos?

In terms of ever meeting Bezos, Golding says:  "I would give him a hug to say thank you – thank you on behalf of customers all around the world for putting us truly at the heart of everything his organization does."

One thing we all know for sure is that Bezos has laser focus on what he desires to achieve.  He says:
“As we get ready for this upcoming holiday season [2016], we are focused on making the customer experience easier and more stress-free than ever.”
