The U.A.E. Pulls Out of OPEC

The United Arab Emirates’ (UAEs') decision to withdraw from OPEC marked a new alignment in the Middle East, where the tiny but fantastically wealthy Persian Gulf country becomes more tied to Israel and the U.S. than the Arab world.

Promoting Innovation in the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Dubai have long been considered the gateway to global markets, especially with entrepreneurs who inherit or can tap into some serious money.
The D.C.-based startup incubator and seed fund 1776 signed an agreement to open an outpost at the Dubai Museum of the Future Foundation, a new organization formed to promote innovation in the United Arab Emirates.
The campus will showcase museum exhibits, host events and incubate startups.

The Second-Highest Number of Exporters in the United States?

Florida boasts the second-highest number of exporters in the United States, and in 2013, the United Arab Emirates was the state's eighth-highest merchandise export destination.

Exposure to international buyers is crucial to the success of small business owners and allows them to grow and create jobs.

That said, Enterprise Florida Inc. will host Florida small businesses at the Oct. 18-22 GITEX Technology Week in Dubai, an annual event that attracts more than 143,000 professionals from around the world from nearly 150 countries.

International Footprints Matter

Have you considered forming a strategic alliance to take your business global?

Maybe you should consider what the Arab World is doing: 30 to 40 per cent of family businesses have an international footprint or are in the process of going global. There is a trend of acquiring or entering into strategic alliances to accomplish the "go global" goal. There's also reference to a term called "open innovation concept."
