Apple's Vision Pro Goes Global

Following an exclusive launch in the US in February, Apple began the international expansion of Vision Pro in June. Now the company is ready to bring Apple Vision Pro to even more countries, as the company has just announced another expansion for next month to South Korea and UAE.

With the launch in South Korea and UAE, Apple Vision Pro will be available in 12 countries.

SME10X and UPS Unveil Highlights from Joint SME E-commerce Survey

UPS intended to evaluate the current shipping behaviors among Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) businesses in the UAE and to gain perspective on their shipping and logistics needs in the near future.

SME10X covered a large sample of over 5,000 SMEs across identified sectors such as Manufacturing, Services and Trading, and has completed 1,153 surveys at the time of this report.

International express delivery services provider DHL unveils MyDHL+, an app aimed at the UAE to bring new levels of speed and simplicity to the cross-border shipping process.

Shippers ranging from small businesses to large global corporations will be able to benefit from MyDHL.

What's the safest city in the world?  Oh that's simple:  Abu Dhabi. Who says so?  Numbeo.  Who's Numbeo?

Numbeo is the world’s largest database of user contributed data about cities and countries worldwide. Numbeo provides current and timely information on world living conditions including cost of living, housing indicators, health care, traffic, crime and pollution.

Abu Dhabi came in first, scoring the lowest crime index of 13.09 and the highest safety index of 86.91 in the past six months.

The UAE's capital was followed by Doha, Qatar, which came in second globally,  and Basel, Switzerland, which came in third.  Other cities that were ranked in the website's top 10 list include Munich, Germany, Osaka, Japan, Singapore, Singapore, Quebec City, Canada, Taipei, Taiwan, Boise, ID, U.S., and Bern, Switzerland.

Are the Survival Instincts of SMEs in UAE Higher Than Elsewhere in the World?

According to Alexander Williams, Director of Strategy and Policy Division at Dubai SME, the most important issue faced by any new SME that’s struggling to survive a year after set up is the non-availability of funding.

Williams's advice is as follows:

“Secure necessary funding and always take on an investor or a partner on board,” he says adding that although the failure rate of SMEs in the country could be on par with global standards, the resilience seen here is much higher compared to anywhere else in the world.
