Africa: A Continent of Possibilities

Which continent has some of the highest rates of female entrepreneurship?  Sweden, United States or Australia?  Try Africa.  Afua Osei, founder of She Leads Africa, is working to fix the perception that Africa only churns out owners of small farms or roadside stands.  She's on a mission (so is WEGG) to prove that women with drive and talent can launch a global start-up —just like she has.

Osei, a consultant for McKinsey, became interested in supporting African businesswomen after spending a summer working at a mobile technology company in Lagos, Nigeria. There she learned that her female coworkers had far less access to professional development opportunities than Osei had at Booth [The University of Chicago Booth School of Business].
